  10.             equipment?

  13.             Whatever you need.

  16.     Dax begins to clear a workspace as Bashir starts 
  17.     unpacking his equipment and setting it up. Ekoria 
  18.     helps Dax, who comes across a small PAINTING on a scrap 
  19.     of wood. It looks like it was done with homemade 
  20.     paint; the colors are a little faded and inconsistent, 
  21.     but even so, it's quite nice. It depicts what the city 
  22.     we've seen might have looked like before the 
  23.     destruction -- the buildings are graceful, trees line 
  24.     the streets, and the people are well dressed.

  27.             Did you do this?

  29.                     EKORIA 
  30.             My husband did. He died last 
  31.             winter.
  32.  
  33.     A flicker of grief flashes across her features, but she 
  34.     pushes past it, keeps helping Bashir and Dax set up.

  36.                     EKORIA 
  37.             It's what he imagined our world 
  38.             used to be like. He painted a 
  39.             mural similar to it on the side of 
  40.             a building near here.
  41.                 (shaking her head and smiling)
  42.             He traded a good pair of boots for 
  43.             the paint he needed.
  44.                 (with pride in him)
  45.             He wanted to show people how 
  46.             things were, he thought it might
  47.             give them something to work 
  48.             toward...

  51.                 (smiles)
  52.             Maybe later you could take us to 
  53.             see it...

  56.                 (pleased)
  57.             All right.

  59.     They continue working for a beat... once the equipment 
  60.     is set up, Dax glances around with satisfaction.
