  6.     Bashir sits on a discarded crate of some kind, alone 
  7.     with his thoughts.
  8.  
  9.     Alien SUPERNUMERARIES move through the street, going 
  10.     about their meager tasks, casting the stranger wary 
  11.     glances. The man we saw earlier carting bodies out of 
  12.     the city is now returning, his cart empty, his grim 
  13.     work done.

  15.     Dax approaches...

  17.                     DAX
  18.             I found the distress beacon in an 
  19.             abandoned building not far from 
  20.             here. It has its own power 
  21.             source. My guess is that it's 
  22.             been repeating the same message 
  23.             for the last two hundred years.

  26.                     BASHIR 
  27.                 (resigned)
  28.             There's nothing for us to do 
  29.             here... we should go...

  31.     A small voice from off-screen interrupts.

  38.     Our people turn and see that Ekoria, the pregnant girl 
  39.     from the "hospital," has been standing in the shadows 
  40.     watching them.

  42.                     BASHIR 
  43.             Yes.

  45.                     EKORIA 
  46.             I've never met a doctor before.

  49.             Now you have.
