  6.     It's up to him... and for a moment we don't know what 
  7.     he'll do. Finally, he looks down... he's not going to 
  8.     object.

  10. 37   ON ODO AND LWAXANA

  12.                     ODO
  13.             I present to you... my beloved 
  14.             wife...
  15.  
  16.     After a moment, the guests break into applause. We can 
  17.     see on their faces that they too were unexpectedly 
  18.     moved by Odo's heartfelt words.
  19.  
  20.     Odo steps off the podium, helps Lwaxana down, and they 
  21.     move to join their guests. Everyone gathers round to 
  22.     offer their congratulations.
  23.  
  24.     After a few moments of this, Lwaxana turns away from 
  25.     someone and finds Jeyal standing behind her. He has 
  26.     something to say to her, and because he's too proud to 
  27.     make a scene, he's careful not to get upset or raise 
  28.     his voice.

  30.                     JEYAL
  31.             I cherished you, Lwaxana... you 
  32.             were my most treasured possession.
  33.  
  34.     His face softening just a bit...
  35.  
  36.                     JEYAL
  37.             Take care of our son. When he 
  38.             asks, speak well of me...
  39.  
  40.     Lwaxana hesitates, then smiles kindly and nods that she 
  41.     will. Jeyal turns away, and marshalling all his 
  42.     dignity, EXITS without looking back...

  44.     Like the others, Quark is swept up in the good cheer of 
  45.     the moment and is oblivious to what just happened. He 
  46.     raises his voice to get everyone's attention.
  47.  
  48.                     QUARK
  49.             Ladies and Gentlemen... please do
  50.             me the honor of accompanying me to 
  51.             my humble establishment. I'm 
  52.             throwing a party for the happy 
  53.             couple!
  54.  
  55.     A chorus of approval from the others. Dax shoots Quark 
  56.     a questioning look.
  57.  
  58.                     QUARK
  59.             What can I say? I'm a hopeless 
  60.             romantic.

  62.     Odo approaches Lwaxana to make sure she's okay.
