  7.     quality of what he's writing.

  11.             I've never been able to write like 
  12.             this... the ideas are coming so 
  13.             fast... I can barely keep up with 
  14.             them.

  16.                     ONAYA
  17.                 (far away)
  18.             It's amazing, isn't it... ?
  19.  
  20.     Jake smiles, keeps writing. Onaya closes her eyes, 
  21.     allows her head to drop back; she's luxuriating in 
  22.     what's happening...

  24. 33   THE PAPER
  25.  
  26.     as Jake's pen flows across it, a drop of blood falls 
  27.     onto the page...
  28.  
  29. 34   RESUME SCENE (OPTICAL)
  30.  
  31.     as Jake realizes his nose is bleeding. When he stops 
  32.     writing, reaches a hand up to staunch the flow, the 
  33.     energy WISPS stop coming.
  34.  
  35.     Onaya reacts, like an addict suddenly cut off from her 
  36.     drug. She looks down and realizes why Jake stopped.
  37.  
  38.                     ONAYA
  39.                 (concerned)
  40.             Jake...
  41.  
  42.     She hands him a HANDKERCHIEF.
  43.  
  44.                     JAKE
  45.             It's okay... it's just a 
  46.             nosebleed.
  47.  
  48.     He dabs at it with the handkerchief.
  49.  
  50.                     ONAYA
  51.             You should rest.
  52.  
  53.                     JAKE
  54.             I'll be all right. It's already 
  55.             stopped.
  56.  
  57.     He removes the handkerchief, and we see that he's no 
  58.     longer bleeding. He picks up his pen, looks at the 
  59.     page to see where he left off.
