  11.     She reaches to take his hand, intending to lead him 
  12.     over to where some pillows are arranged around a low 
  13.     wooden TABLE, but he starts from the contact, making 
  14.     her realize she was right.

  16.                     ONAYA
  17.             Though maybe not this nervous. 
  18.             Haven't you ever been alone in a 
  19.             woman's quarters before?
  20.  
  21.     Off his reaction.

  23.                     ONAYA
  24.             Whatever you're thinking, put it 
  25.             out of your mind -- you're here to 
  26.             work.

  28.     Jake is reassured by her almost stern tone... relaxes 
  29.     a bit. They settle on to the pillows. She looks at 
  30.     him, enthusiasm in her face.

  32.                     ONAYA
  33.             Now, what's the most ambitious 
  34.             story you've ever wanted to tell?
  35.  
  36.                     JAKE
  37.                 (considers)
  38.             I have an idea for a novel. It's 
  39.             sort of autobiographical. The 
  40.             main character's mother dies 
  41.             and... it's not really about 
  42.             that... it's about a lot of 
  43.             things...

  45.     He shakes his head, seems uncertain.

  47.                     ONAYA
  48.             So many it seems too big for you, 
  49.             right now. You're afraid you 
  50.             can't do it justice.
