  16.     Dukat smiles grimly. It's a desperate act of defiance
  17.     which suits his mood perfectly.

  22.     Again, the Cardassian freighter SHUDDERS slightly as
  23.     the phaser is discharged.

  25. 17   ON THE VIEWSCREEN (OPTICAL)

  27.     The Klingon bird of prey takes the hit. It is a
  28.     pathetic little hit and it has about as much effect as
  29.     scratching the tail of a rhinoceros with a blade of
  30.     grass.

  34.     Dukat and Kira stare at the viewscreen -- not a good
  35.     turn of events.

  38.             Their shields were down and we
  39.             didn't penetrate their hull.

  42.             Divert all power to the forward
  43.             shields.

  45. 19   ON THE VIEWSCREEN (OPTICAL)

  47.     The bird of prey continues moving toward the
  48.     freighter. There's a long, long beat of tension as the
  49.     bird of prey fills the screen, passing overhead.
