  14.     DAX hurries up, still straightening her uniform, and
  15.     moves to join the group. Sisko decides to give her a
  16.     bit of a hard time, though it's all in good fun.

  18.                     SISKO
  19.             Good of you to make it, old man.
  20.             Shakaar's transport just docked.
  21.  
  22.                     DAX
  23.             Sorry. There were so many people
  24.             on the Promenade it was hard to
  25.             get through.
  26.  
  27.     Kira turns to Sisko, speaks in a low voice.
  28.  
  29.                     KIRA
  30.             I hope Shakaar's gotten better at
  31.             talking in front of groups. He
  32.             used to mumble his way through
  33.             mission briefings; everyone in our
  34.             resistance cell had to learn to
  35.             lip read.
  36.  
  37.     Sisko smiles at this... just then, SHAKAAR, his
  38.     Adjutant, SARISH REZ, and TWO SECURITY GUARDS begin to
  39.     emerge from the airlock.

  41.     Despite his new position, Shakaar has maintained an
  42.     unpretentious style of dress and a down-to-earth
  43.     manner. Still, he knows that pomp and ceremony can be
  44.     important, and knows how to handle himself on these
  45.     occasions.

  48.             Welcome to Deep Space Nine,
  49.             minister.

  51.                     SHAKAAR
  52.             Thank you, Captain. I've been
  53.             looking forward to visiting the
  54.             station... and meeting the
  55.             Emissary.
