  16. 51   INT. SISKO'S CREOLE KITCHEN - DAWN

  18.     Jake has put candles out all over the restaurant for
  19.     light. Joseph is asleep in a booth, a tablecloth
  20.     wrapped around him as an impromptu blanket. Jake hears
  21.     a noise coming from outside the restaurant. He goes
  22.     and peeks out of the curtained windows. He looks both
  23.     surprised and disturbed by what he sees. He goes to
  24.     wake his grandfather.

  26.                     JAKE
  27.             Grandpa, wake up.
  28.  
  29.     Joseph opens his eyes.
  30.  
  31.                     JOSEPH
  32.             I wasn't sleeping. I was just
  33.             checking my eyelids for holes.

  35.     But Jake's not in a joking mood.

  37.                     JAKE
  38.             You'd better come take a look at
  39.             this.

  41.     Joseph can tell that whatever Jake has seen, it's
  42.     serious. He gets up and goes to the window.

  47.     Jake gestures to the window and Joseph looks outside.

  49. 52   NEW ANGLE - JOSEPH'S P.O.V. (OPTICAL)

  51.     Outside the window, in the early light of dawn, a group
  52.     of StarfIeet officers take up positions in the street,
  53.     looking grim and carrying phaser rifles.
  54.  
  55.     As Joseph and Jake watch, another group of soldiers
  56.     beam in in the middle of the street. Earth is
  57.     preparing for war.
