  11.     Dax hesitates, thinks about it for a second, then
  12.     slowly takes off her horn-rimmed glasses. Garak rolls
  13.     his eyes, can't believe this is working.
  14.  
  15.                     DAX
  16.             Like this?

  18.                     BASHIR
  19.             Yes. And you know, your hair
  20.             would look so much better if it
  21.             were free.
  22.  
  23.     Dax tentatively reaches a hand to her hair... pulls out
  24.     the hairpin... and her hair falls to her shoulders.
  25.     She gives Bashir a smoldering look.
  26.  
  27.                     GARAK
  28.             I must say... this is more than I
  29.             ever wanted to know about your
  30.             fantasy life, Doctor.
  31.  
  32.     Bashir ignores him, focusing on Dax as she rearranges
  33.     her hair.
  34.  
  35.                     BASHIR
  36.             There... there. That's the last
  37.             thing I want to remember before I
  38.             die.

  40.     Dax is genuinely touched.

  42.                     DAX
  43.             Thank you.

  45.     She turns, starts to walk out of the cave. Bashir
  46.     watches, tense, waiting. Then Dax pauses... puts her
  47.     hand in a lab coat pocket... then makes a sudden
  48.     decision. She turns, quickly turns to Bashir and gives
  49.     him a passionate kiss on the mouth.

  51.                     GARAK
  52.             I'd give the two of you some
  53.             privacy if I could.
  54.  
  55.     Dax breaks the kiss, looks into Bashir's eyes for a
  56.     long, lingering moment... then quickly EXITS.
