  6.     where Kira is continuing her story to an unconscious 
  7.     Sisko. She's scanning him with her tricorder as she 
  8.     speaks.

  10.                     KIRA
  11.             ... but then the brothers started 
  12.             to argue about how to divide the 
  13.             money they got for the kava root. 
  14.             The oldest said that since it was 
  15.             his idea to bring it to the city, 
  16.             he should get more. The youngest 
  17.             objected, saying he was the one 
  18.             who'd tended the field where...
  19.  
  20.     Kira's voice trails off as she reacts to the readings 
  21.     on the tricorder. The situation is grim... she's losing 
  22.     him.  For the first time, her emotions start to get the 
  23.     best of her.
  24.  
  25.                     KIRA 
  26.             This can't happen... you can't 
  27.             die... You're the Emissary... 
  28.             there's still so much you have to 
  29.             do...
  30.  
  31.     She gets a hold of herself, reaches to take out the 
  32.     hypo. She holds it in her hand as if deciding what to 
  33.     do...
  34.  
  35.                     KIRA 
  36.             I don't know if this is the right 
  37.             thing to do or not... but I'm 
  38.             going to give you a stimulant...
  39.  
  40.     She steels herself, then injects Sisko in the neck... 
  41.     not knowing if this will save him or kill him. After 
  42.     a beat...

  44.                     KIRA 
  45.             Captain... I know that my beliefs 
  46.             can make you feel uncomfortable 
  47.             around me. And that maybe they're 
  48.             the reason you keep me at arm's 
  49.             length sometimes.

  51.     We hear in her voice that this is something she
  52.     regrets, but now she pushes it aside, and a certain 
  53.     resolve enters her voice...
