  7. 48   INT. DEFIANT - BRIDGE

  9.     Only EMERGENCY LIGHTS illuminate the room, and the dim 
  10.     light they give off is cut by the swirl of smoke from 
  11.     exploded consoles. The place is a wreck.
  12.  
  13.     Worf is just sitting up... he clears his head, moves to 
  14.     help Kira.
  15.  
  16.                     WORF 
  17.             Are you all right, major?
  18.  
  19.                     KIRA 
  20.             I think so...
  21.  
  22.     Kira moves to check on Sisko, who's lying unconscious 
  23.     on the floor. Carson moves to check on two N.D.s who 
  24.     are splayed out on the floor, one of whom is badly 
  25.     burned.
  26.  
  27.                     WORF 
  28.             Computer, lights.
  29.                 (nothing happens) 
  30.             Bridge to Engine Room.
  31.  
  32.     No response, not even a com-beep. Worf starts checking 
  33.     consoles, trying to power them up.
  34.  
  35.                     CARSON
  36.             Boyce and Peterson are dead,
  37.             sir...
  38.  
  39.     Worf reacts, nods an acknowledgement. Kira crouches 
  40.     next to Sisko, who's barely conscious. He took a bad 
  41.     blow to the head and blood is trickling from a cut on 
  42.     his temple.
  43.  
  44.                     KIRA 
  45.             Captain... try not to move... you 
  46.             took a bad blow...
  47.                 (to Carson) 
  48.             Get me a medkit.
  49.  
  50.     Carson hurries over to a wall panel, brings the MEDKIT 
  51.     over.
  52.  
  53.                     WORF 
  54.             Bridge systems are completely off-
  55.             line. We're not getting power to 
  56.             these consoles.
