  4. 44   EXT. ATMOSPHERE (OPTICAL)

  6.     The probe shoots forward and away from the Defiant, 
  7.     leaving a trail as it cuts through the atmosphere.
  8.  
  9.     Suddenly the Jem'Hadar ship enters frame and 
  10.     immediately opens FIRE from behind, scoring a massive 
  11.     hit that cuts right through our shields.
  12.  
  13. 45   INT. DEFIANT - BRIDGE 
  14.  
  15.     as the ship is ROCKED harder than we've ever seen it. 
  16.     People are thrown off their feet, including Sisko, who 
  17.     slams his head against something... consoles EXPLODE... 
  18.     systems crash... the lights BLACK OUT...
  19.  
  20. 46   EXT. ATMOSPHERE (OPTICAL)
  21.  
  22.     as the probe arcs up, around, and back over the 
  23.     Defiant, toward the Jem'Hadar right on our tail. The 
  24.     probe hits home and the ship explodes in a FIREBALL.
  25.  
  26. 47   INT. DEFIANT - ENGINE ROOM
  27.  
  28.     as the SHAKING subsides... people get their bearings, 
  29.     help each other to their feet...
  30.  
  31.                     O'BRIEN
  32.                 (taps combadge)
  33.             O'Brien to Bridge... 
  34.  
  35.     No response. O'Brien turns to Muniz.
  36.  
  37.                     O'BRIEN
  38.             Try the com-panel.
  39.  
  40.                     MUNIZ
  41.                 (taps panel)
  42.             Engine Room to Bridge. 
  43.  
  44.     Still nothing. O'Brien checks a console.
  45.  
  46.                     MUNIZ
  47.             Bridge, please respond.

  49.                     O'BRIEN
  50.                 (grim)
  51.             Save your breath, Muniz.
