  23.     O'Brien nods after a beat. Goran'Agar turns and 
  24.     SHIMMERS AWAY. Bashir looks at O'Brien.

  27.             He was their commander. They 
  28.             trusted him. He can't leave them.

  30.     There's a quiet beat... and then O'Brien heads for the 
  31.     runabout. Bashir stands there a moment longer, looks 
  32.     out at the jungle, having a hard time with this.

  38.     Bashir finally goes inside the runabout.

  40. 51   INT. CAPTAIN'S OFFICE

  42.     Sisko sits at his desk, doing his least favorite chore -- 
  43.     paperwork. He takes a PADD from a large stack of them, 
  44.     and begins reading it.

  46.     There's a CHIME at the door. Sisko puts down the PADD, 
  47.     relieved at the interruption.
