  7. 36   EXT. BOX CANYON - DAY
  8.  
  9.     Kira and Shakaar are hunkered down behind some rocks on the 
  10.     top of a ridgeline, looking down into a box canyon.  They 
  11.     both have their weapons out and are intently watching 
  12.     something o.s.
  13.  
  14. 37   KIRA'S POV
  15.  
  16.     From her perspective, we can see a LARGE NUMBER of BAJORAN 
  17.     TROOPS (around 20 men and women) moving cautiously across 
  18.     the canyon floor.  They are led by a Bajoran Colonel who we 
  19.     will learn is named LENARIS.  The troops carry phaser rifles 
  20.     and they are moving professionally through the canyon.  
  21.     Several of them have tricorders out and are sweeping the 
  22.     area.

  24. 38   RESUME KIRA & SHAKAAR

  26.     Still watching the troops.
  27.  
  28.                     SHAKAAR
  29.                 (quiet)
  30.             I don't think they've picked us up 
  31.             on their tricorders.
  32.  
  33.                     KIRA
  34.                 (quiet)
  35.             They won't, either.  Not with that 
  36.             dampening field in place.

  38.     Shakaar looks to his left.
  39.  
  40. 39   SHAKAAR'S POV
  41.  
  42.     To his left, we can see Lupaza and two Bajoran N.D.s hunkered 
  43.     down at a different location on the ridgeline.  They have 
  44.     their weapons out and pointed at the oncoming troops.  Lupaza 
  45.     sees Shakaar and signals that they're ready.
