  17.             I know that we've had our differences 
  18.             in the past... but I'm asking you to 
  19.             put those feelings aside and think 
  20.             about what is best for our people.

  22.     Kira has trouble fighting against that argument and Winn 
  23.     knows it.  Winn presses her.

  28.             the Occupation is over, we've achieved 
  29.             peace with Cardassia, Federation 
  30.             membership is only a few years away... 
  31.             this is an exciting time to be a

  36.             Shakaar has lost sight of that.  By 
  37.             stealing the reclamators, he's acting 
  38.             in his own self-interest at the 
  39.             expense of the rest of our people.

  42.             I know Shakaar... and he's one of 
  43.             the most... selfless people I ever 
  44.             met.  He must have a good reason for 
  45.             what he's done.

  48.             Perhaps.  Perhaps he is only... 
  49.             misguided.  That's why I've come to 
  50.             you, Kira.  You know him... you can 
  51.             talk to him.  I don't want this to 
  52.             become a... scandal.  I want this to 
  53.             be settled quietly, peacefully.
