  14.             I ran a microcellular scan and 
  15.             detected minute damage to his 
  16.             cerebrospinal nerve cells.  It seems 
  17.             to have been caused by the temporal 
  18.             shifting.
  19.  
  20.                     O'BRIEN
  21.             Can you repair it?
  22.  
  23.                     BASHIR
  24.             Yes.  But the effect is cumulative.  
  25.             If you keep time shifting, there may 
  26.             come a point where the damage becomes 
  27.             irreparable.  Eventually, it might 
  28.             even kill you.

  32.             Don't worry, Chief.  Dax already has 
  33.             every scanner on this station hunting 
  34.             for any temporal abnormalities.

  37.             Well, if anyone can find the cause 
  38.             of the timeshifts, it's Dax.

  40.                     BASHIR
  41.             In the meantime, I'm also working on 
  42.             a way to purge your system of the 
  43.             residual radio-isotopes in case it's 
  44.             related to the timeshifting.  
  45.             Normally, the isotopes would take a 
  46.             few days to decay... but there might 
  47.             be some way to accelerate the process.
