  9.     It's a little while later.  Rom is seated in the middle of 
  10.     the floor, reading aloud from the book.  Quark is pacing 
  11.     back and forth, trying to make sense of the Nagus's Rules.

  13.                     ROM
  14.             Rule Number Twenty-One, "Never place 
  15.             profit before friendship."
  16.                 (turning pages)
  17.             Rule Number Twenty-Four "Latinum 
  18.             tarnishes, but family is forever."
  19.                 (turning pages)
  20.             Rule Twenty-Eight, "Money can never 
  21.             replace dignity."
  22.  
  23.                     QUARK
  24.                 (losing patience)
  25.             Skip to the end.
  26.  
  27.     Rom flips ahead until he gets to the last page, then reads 
  28.     it silently.

  30.                     QUARK
  31.             Well, what is it?

  33.                     ROM
  34.             You're not going to like it, Brother.

  36.                     QUARK
  37.             I can take it.  Tell me.

  39.                     ROM
  40.             Rule number Two Hundred and Eighty-
  41.             Five, "A good deed is its own 
  42.             reward."

  44.     Suddenly Quark reals as if about to pass out.  Rom leaps to 
  45.     his feet and goes to support Quark.
  46.  
  47.                     ROM
  48.             Brother, are you all right?
  49.  
  50.                     QUARK
  51.                 (wobbly)
  52.             I... just need to sit down.

  54.     Rom helps his brother take a seat against the wall.  Quark 
  55.     still doesn't look so good.  Rom starts fanning him with the 
  56.     book of Rules.  It's like waving garlic in front of a vampire.
