  7. 19   INT. CAVERN CHAMBER - CONTINUOUS

  9.     As before.  Kira is still trapped and the crystal formation 
  10.     has encased her foot.  There's another minor tremor.
  11.  
  12.                     ODO
  13.             You're sure you can't pull it loose?
  14.  
  15.                     KIRA
  16.                 (still tugging at it)
  17.             Believe me, I've tried.
  18.  
  19.                     ODO
  20.             Maybe if you slipped your foot out 
  21.             of your boot.
  22.  
  23.                     KIRA
  24.             I can barely feel my foot, the crystal 
  25.             is pressing against it so hard.  
  26.             There's no way I can get my boot 
  27.             off.
  28.  
  29.     Odo considers the situation for a beat, then...
  30.  
  31.                     ODO
  32.             Hold on.
  33.  
  34.     Odo goes and picks up a large chunk of rock that's been shaken 
  35.     loose by one of the tremors.
  36.  
  37.                     ODO
  38.             This might hurt a little.
  39.  
  40.                     KIRA
  41.             Go ahead.
  42.  
  43.     Odo uses the rock to hammer on the crystal formation.  After 
  44.     a couple of medium hard blows, which have no effect, Odo 
  45.     hauls off and really smashes the crystal.
  46.  
  47.     The rock he's using as a bludgeon cracks and shatters in his 
  48.     hand.  Kira can't help herself; she shakes her head and 
  49.     chuckles.

  52.             I fail to see the humor in this 
  53.             situation.
