  4. 44   CONTINUED:

  6.     The police have shot concussion bombs through the window, 
  7.     and smoke quickly begins to swirl around the room.
  8.  
  9.     What occurs next happens in a blur of action --
  10.  
  11.     The doors on either side of the room burst open and SWAT 
  12.     Team Officers pour in, carrying rifles with laser-scopes -- 
  13.     red beams cut across the room -- and shots ring out.
  14.  
  15.     Webb is shot in the chest... his eyes go wide in disbelief... 
  16.     he falls dead... having never even lifted his weapon...
  17.  
  18.     With a defiant yell, B.C. starts firing back... but is 
  19.     immediately cut down...
  20.  
  21. 45   INT. LEE'S CUBICLE - CONTINUOUS
  22.  
  23.     The hostages huddle in fear... Bashir moves to comfort Lee... 
  24.     Vin suddenly leaps to his feet...
  25.  
  26.                     VIN
  27.             Stop shooting, dammit!  We're okay!
  28.  
  29. 46   INT. PROCESSING CENTER - CONTINUOUS
  30.  
  31.     as Vin appears in the doorway... a red targeting beam becomes 
  32.     visible on his chest... Sisko sees it, leaps in front of Vin -- 
  33.     a bullet slams into his shoulder... Sisko goes down... Vin 
  34.     sees another cop heading his way...
  35.  
  36.                     VIN
  37.             I'm a hostage, you idiot!
  38.  
  39.     Vin crouches next to Sisko... As quickly as it began, the 
  40.     firing ends.  All the Sanctuary Residents are dead or badly 
  41.     wounded.  The SWAT Team continues scouring the room for signs 
  42.     of resistance... confiscating weapons...
  43.  
  44.     Outside, we hear the SOUNDS of the police and National Guard 
  45.     sweeping into the Sanctuary -- shots firing... tear gas 
  46.     canisters hissing... people shouting...
  47.  
  48.     The SWAT Leader talks into a microphone that juts out from 
  49.     his helmet.
