  6.     We see what might be the beginning of a small crack in 
  7.     Vin's armor...

  10.             Now get back out there and keep your

  12.             mouth shut.

  14.     And as Vin walks out of the room, hold on Sisko, hoping maybe 
  15.     he got through to him...

  17. 23   EXT. SAN FRANCISCO STREET - NIGHT (OPTICAL)
  18.  
  19.     "The summer of love."  Kira and O'Brien MATERIALIZE in the 
  20.     same alley we saw in Act One, but now a brightly painted VW 
  21.     BUS is parked against the wall.  LOUD Hendrix-style acid 
  22.     ROCK BLASTS from inside the closed van.  Sixties style posters 
  23.     advertising concerts and flower power are plastered on the 
  24.     brick walls of the alley.

  26.     O'Brien takes out his TRICORDER and starts scanning.  Kira 
  27.     hits her combadge, and has to shout to be heard over the 
  28.     music.
  29.  
  30.                     KIRA
  31.                 (loudly)
  32.             Kira to Sisko.
  33.                 (no answer)
  34.             Kira to Dax.  Kira to Bashir.
  35.  
  36.                     O'BRIEN
  37.                 (off tricorder)
  38.             I'm not picking up any residual 
  39.             electrostatic charge.
  40.  
  41.     Kira can't hear him because of the music.
  42.  
  43.                     KIRA
  44.             What?
  45.  
  46.                     O'BRIEN
  47.                 (louder)
  48.             I said I'm not picking up any residual 
  49.             electrostatic charge.

  51.                     KIRA
  52.                 (not hearing)

  55.     Suddenly the music stops abruptly, before O'Brien can adjust 
  56.     his volume --
