  8.             Somehow Sisko, Dax, and Bashir have 
  9.             altered Earth's history.  We have no 
  10.             choice but to send an away team into 
  11.             the past, to try to find them, and to
  12.             correct the changes to the timeline.  
  13.             The only problem is, we're not exactly 
  14.             sure where to look... or when.

  16. 8    INT. DEFIANT - TRANSPORTER ROOM (OPTICAL)

  18.     ODO watches as O'BRIEN, in his civilian clothes from "THE 
  19.     HOMECOMING," prepares to beam down.  O'Brien's being assisted 
  20.     by the N.D. CREWMAN who was helping him in Part One.

  22.                     O'BRIEN
  23.             According to our computer simulations, 
  24.             the degree of temporal displacement 
  25.             is directly proportional to the number 
  26.             of chroniton particles interacting 
  27.             with the transporter beam.  
  28.             Unfortunately, there's no way to 
  29.             know the exact concentration of 
  30.             particles at the time of the accident, 
  31.             but I've narrowed it down to ten 
  32.             possibilities, each one corresponding 
  33.             to a different time frame.  One of 
  34.             them has to be right.
  35.                 (a beat)
  36.             We'll just have to hope we find the 
  37.             right one before we run out of 
  38.             chroniton particles.

  40.     KIRA ENTERS, also dressed in civilian clothing.  She's got a 
  41.     small gray bandage across the bridge of her nose, hiding her 
  42.     ridges.  She's not wearing her earring.

  48.             Well, it does effectively disguise 
  49.             your Bajoran heritage.
