  6.     Bashir picks up a tricorder and then he and Odo turn and 
  7.     move to where the Teenager is lying on one of the biobeds. 
  8.     An N.D. NURSE stands nearby with a medical device.  A 
  9.     TRANSPARENT TUBE has been inserted into the boy's neck, with 
  10.     the other end leading to a small container on his tunic chest.  
  11.     Bashir moves to the boy's side.
  12.  
  13.                     BASHIR
  14.             All right... we're going to start 
  15.             with two milligrams per minute, in a 
  16.             one cc saline solution.
  17.                 (to Boy)
  18.             Let me know if you feel any 
  19.             discomfort.
  20.  
  21.     Bashir works the container and then we begin to see LIQUID 
  22.     begin flowing through the tube and up into his neck.  The 
  23.     Boy's reaction is instantaneous -- the tension and angry 
  24.     quality disappears from his face and is replaced with a look 
  25.     of relaxation.  Bashir watches the monitors over the bed.
  26.  
  27.                     BASHIR
  28.             His heart rate is slowing... some 
  29.             increase in neurotransmitter 
  30.             activity... cortical impulse readings 
  31.             have leveled out.
  32.                 (beat)
  33.             Let's try three cc's.
  34.  
  35.     He makes an adjustment and now the look on the boy's face is 
  36.     one of utter contentment and happiness... he suddenly looks 
  37.     less threatening and dangerous.
  38.  
  39.                     BASHIR
  40.             I think we'll hold it there for now.
  41.                 (to boy)
  42.             How do you feel?
  43.  
  44.                     TEENAGER
  45.             Good.
  46.                 (to Odo, with feeling)
  47.             Thank you.
  48.  
  49.     Odo simply nods at him... he still has mixed feelings about 
  50.     this.
  51.  
  52.                     ODO
  53.             You should rest now.  We'll talk 
  54.             later.
  55.                 (to Bashir)
  56.             I'll be in my quarters.
