  6. 16   INT. DAX'S ROOM AT THE SYMBIOSIS COMMISSION (VPB)

  8.     This is a 24th century facility; there's a BED suitable for 
  9.     both examining a patient and for convalescing.  A WALL PANEL 
  10.     above it gives bio-readings, and there's a COMPUTER CONSOLE 
  11.     and MONITOR on another wall as well.  There are a few CHAIRS 
  12.     for visitors, some PLANTS, and a WINDOW that looks out on 
  13.     the Trill capitol.
  14.  
  15.     Sisko and Bashir are waiting with Dax for the results of her 
  16.     tests.  Dax seems a little worn out, like she's just been 
  17.     through an exhaustive ordeal.

  19.                     DAX
  20.             -- after they finally finished the 
  21.             neural response analysis, another 
  22.             Doctor came in and ran a cortical 
  23.             protein series.

  25.                     BASHIR
  26.             Did they do a bio-spectral scan on 
  27.             the symbiont?

  29.     Dax gingerly touches her stomach.
  30.  
  31.                     DAX
  32.             They had to make an incision so they 
  33.             could insert the scanner.
  34.  
  35.                     SISKO
  36.             So you saw him?

  38.                     DAX
  39.             Who?
  40.  
  41.                     SISKO
  42.                 (lightly)
  43.             Dax...
  44.                 (off her nod)
  45.             How's that old worm holding up these 
  46.             days?

  49.                 (smiles)
  50.             Handsome as ever.

  52.     Sisko smiles at her reply, before he can say anything else 
  53.     the door OPENS and DOCTOR RENHOL ENTERS.  She's an unjoined 
  54.     Trill of about forty, with a warm quality to her, and an 
  55.     intelligent, competent air.  She wears a simple uniform and 
  56.     is carrying a PADD-LIKE device.
