  7.             I'm serious, Kira.  Leave.

  9.     Kira can't just give up, she's too concerned about her friend.  
  10.     She stands there, trying to think of what tack to take.  Dax 
  11.     looks up at her, stands.
  12.  
  13.                     DAX
  14.             Fine, then I'll go.
  15.  
  16.     Dax tries to move past her, but Kira catches her arm.
  17.  
  18.                     KIRA
  19.             Wait --
  20.  
  21.                     DAX
  22.                 (even)
  23.             Get your hands off me... before I do 
  24.             something I'll regret.

  26.     Kira looks into Dax's eyes... but doesn't see anyone she 
  27.     recognizes.  Dax's threat is real, and Kira feels she has no 
  28.     choice but to let her go.  Dax holds her gaze for a beat, 
  29.     then smiles, as if she's enjoying Kira's discomfort.

  31.                     DAX
  32.             That's the first smart thing you've 
  33.             done since you walked over here.
  34.  
  35.     She turns and walks off into the Promenade... we hold on 
  36.     Kira's face for a beat and --

  38.                                     CUT TO:

  40. 5    INT. PROMENADE (VPB)
  41.  
  42.     where Dax is making her way across the central corridor.  
  43.     SUPERNUMERARIES go about their daily business, passing this 
  44.     way and that.
  45.  
  46. 5A   NEW ANGLE
  47.  
  48.     where we see that everyone on the Promenade has suddenly 
  49.     disappeared.  The place is empty, deserted.  A LIGHTING CHANGE 
  50.     gives the Promenade a mysterious look.
  51.  
  52.     Dax's attention is caught by a strange FIGURE standing on 
  53.     the upper level, looking down at her.
  54.  
  55.     The Figure is wearing dark, flowing robes and a strange, 
  56.     slightly feminine featured, eyeless MASK.
