  7.                 (continuing)
  8.             He was abusive... vulgar... a typical 
  9.             drunken Klingon.  All that was fine... 
  10.             but then it came time to pay the 
  11.             bill... and he refused.  I insisted.  
  12.             We began to argue... he pushed me... 
  13.             I pushed back... I was about to call 
  14.             for security to throw him out of my 
  15.             bar when suddenly he pulled a knife 
  16.             on me!
  17.  
  18.     The crowd is mesmerized by the tale and this only propels 
  19.     Quark more.  He throws himself into the story.

  21.                     QUARK
  22.                 (continuing)
  23.             I avoided the first thrust... he 
  24.             came at me again... I hit him with a 
  25.             left jab... there was a furious 
  26.             exchange of blows.  The next thing I 
  27.             knew, his knife was at my throat... 
  28.             so I twisted it from his grasp and 
  29.             plunged it into his chest.
  30.                 (beat, then solemn)
  31.             I'll never forget the look on his 
  32.             face as his life drained away.  It 
  33.             was... I'd rather not talk about it 
  34.             anymore.

  36.     Quark turns away, apparently moved by the memory, and the 
  37.     Crowd begins talking animatedly among themselves.  Odo 
  38.     gives him a skeptical look.

  40.                     ODO
  41.             If you've finished your performance, 
  42.             I'd like to hear the real story now.

  44.                     QUARK
  45.             You heard it.  And my brother is a 
  46.             witness.

  49.             That's right.
