  8.             a wide berth.

  10.                     BASHIR
  11.             I know what the orders say.  But he 
  12.             attacked Chief O'Brien.  We have 
  13.             rules here against that sort of thing.

  15.                     EDDINGTON
  16.             I'm aware of station regulations, 
  17.             Doctor.  However, the Jem'Hadar are 
  18.             not.  We have to allow them some 
  19.             time to get used to our customs.
  20.  
  21.                     BASHIR
  22.                 (outraged)
  23.             And in the meantime, they're free to 
  24.             do whatever they want?
  25.  
  26.                     EDDINGTON
  27.             Remember that before you get into 
  28.             another brawl with them.
  29.  
  30.     Eddington nods to the other Security Officer and together 
  31.     they EXIT, leaving an angry Bashir to tend to O'Brien.

  33. 40   INT. SISKO'S QUARTERS

  35.     Sisko and Jake are seated at the dinner table.  Jake keeps 
  36.     glancing over at his dad, who has barely touched his food.
  37.  
  38.                     JAKE
  39.             Dad, pass me the potatoes.
  40.  
  41.     Sisko doesn't respond.
  42.  
  43.                     JAKE
  44.             Dad?
  45.  
  46.                     SISKO
  47.                 (snapping out of it)
  48.             Yes, Jake.

  50.                     JAKE
  51.             The potatoes?
  52.

  54.                 (realizing)
  55.             Oh.
