  9.     Dax has opened a panel inside the reactor and is working on 
  10.     the systems inside.  Odo leads Colyus out of his office and 
  11.     the two men join her.

  13.                     COLYUS
  14.                 (to Dax)
  15.             Odo says you know what happened to 
  16.             the missing villagers?
  17.  
  18.                     DAX
  19.             I think I do.
  20.                 (finishes tinkering 
  21.                 with reactor)
  22.             It's a little complicated to explain.  
  23.             It'd probably be easier if I showed 
  24.             you.
  25.                 (a beat)
  26.             May I have your coat?
  27.  
  28.                     COLYUS
  29.             My coat?
  30.  
  31.                     DAX
  32.             Please.
  33.  
  34.     Colyus gives it to her.  Dax sets it down on the ground in a 
  35.     precisely predetermined location.

  37.                     DAX
  38.             Now step back.

  40.     Colyus complies.  Dax reaches into the reactor and carefully 
  41.     begins to manipulate the controls.

  43.     Nothing happens.
  44.  
  45.                     COLYUS
  46.             I'm waiting.

  48.                     DAX
  49.             This may take a minute.  I don't 
  50.             want to make any mistakes.
