  6.     Room for a bunk, not much more.  Within the ship, the only 
  7.     light anywhere comes from homemade candles.  Hand-woven mats 
  8.     and rough clay vases filled with native flowers give the 
  9.     area a primitive, yet warm, comfortable and lived-in ambience.  
  10.     It's about an hour since we last saw Sisko.  He's sitting on 
  11.     his bunk, curiously reading a bound (but thin) "old-
  12.     fashioned" book... one of several that have been left on his 
  13.     nightstand... there are no doors.  O'Brien looks in, ENTERS...

  16.             Come in, Chief.  I was just reading 
  17.             one of the books written by our host.  
  18.             Alixus is quite a prolific author...

  21.                 (re: picking up one)
  22.             Yeah, a bunch of these were left in 
  23.             my room too... I haven't had a chance 
  24.             to look at them... what does she 
  25.             write about?

  39.             commentaries.  Literary critiques.  
  40.             She says she's spent her life 
  41.             examining the human condition.

  44.             And what's her prognosis?

  47.             Not very good.  She says we've become 
  48.             fat and lazy and dull.
