DEEP SPACE: "Duet" - REV. 03/29/93 - ACT FOUR 40.
42 CONTINUED:
DUKAT
An innocent Cardassian citizen, just
as I explained to your Commander
Sisko. And we want him released.
ODO
That innocent citizen has admitted
he is Gul Darhe'el.
Dukat -- taken totally aback -- is momentarily speechless,
before:
DUKAT
What? What are you talking about!
ODO
(measured)
He says his name is Gul Darhe'el.
DUKAT
(outraged)
Then he's lying!
ODO
If he is, it's the most foolish lie
he could've invented. It's likely
to get him executed. Why would anyone
do such a thing?
DUKAT
(forcefully)
I don't know. But I tell you I was
at Darhe'el's funeral.
Odo is confused even further by Dukat's obvious -- totally
honest -- bewilderment.
ODO
You're sure the man you saw buried
was Gul Darhe'el?
DUKAT
Half of Cardassia viewed his body!
ODO
I saw a photograph of Darhe'el taken
at the Gallitep labor camp. It
certainly appears to be the man we're
holding.
