  3. echo        Welcome to PC-Write Advanced Level 4.1 by Starlite Software!

  5. echo To install PC-Write, place Disk 1 (Program) in floppy drive A (or B), and type
  6. echo A: (or B:) then Enter to make it the default drive. Type INSTALL, press Enter.
  7. echo Choose menu item "How to use", then "Install program", then "Printer setup".
  8. echo To print the Tutorial or manual addendum, choose "Print documentation".
  9. echo 
  10. echo You can install to a hard disk directory of your choice, or to floppy disks.
  11. echo Then you'll need 1 to 8 blank floppies (depending on size and options chosen).

  13. echo The Install process just copies PC-Write files and makes two control files on
  14. echo the work directory of your choice; it doesn't alter any of your system files.
  15. echo Old PC-Write files in your work directory are saved. To install manually, read
  16. echo PACKING.LST and copy those you need. Use UNARJ for files packed in .ARJ format.
  17. echo When you first run PC-Write, press Alt, A, C (Adapt, Customize) to select a
  18. echo printer and choose additional options.

  20. echo To start PC-Write, enter the command ED at the DOS prompt.
  21. echo You can give a file name after the ED command, as in ED B:MYFILE.
