--- SETTING UP & CONFIGURING YOUR ARC -----
If you are not familiar with the facilities
offered by the DRAW package, please refer to
the Archimedes User Guide.
USEFUL SCREEN MODES - These are to be found on
the UTILITIES directory. !BigScreen lets you
get more information on screen at a time. Just
double click on it to see the effect.
(!Bigscreen Notes continued)
It's particularly useful with 1stWord+,
PipeDream, and DTP, as well as !Draw.
!MaxScreen is really over the top, but can be
useful in PipeDream and 1stWord+.
You need to adjust your monitor's height,
width, and horizontal and vertical centring to
use them - don't reset them again afterwards,
the other modes are still perfectly usable.
If you have Outline fonts we recommend you to
configure Fontmax2 to zero, which switches off
anti-aliasing (*Configure Fontmax2 0). This
speeds up drawing for a very arguable loss of
displayed clarity. The only fonts we use in
the library are Trinity (Bold, Medium, and
Medium Italic) and Homerton (Medium) fonts.
If you haven't got these, a few graphics in
the INTERFACING directory may not reproduce
exactly as intended.
Configure the font cache to 256K (*Configure
Fontsize 256K) unless you are very tight for
space in RAM. For specific instructions on the
use of Science or Electronics graphics, double
click on the Science or Electronix ReadMe
icons.
In the TEXTTOPATH directory on this disc the
text in drawfiles can be rotated & manip-
ulated and text moves with the graphics.
