  92. 1.5 QUALITY ASSURANCE
  93.  
  94.     A.  Manufacturer:  Minimum __ years experience in
  95.         manufacturing roof panels similar to those required for
  96.         this project.

  98.     B.  Installer:  Minimum __ years experience in installing
  99.         roof panels similar to those required for this project.

  101.     C.  Field Measurements:  Where possible, take field
  102.         measurements of structural framing and substrate to
  103.         receive the roofing, prior to fabrication of roof panels.

  105. 1.6 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
  106.  
  107.     A.  Delivery:  Deliver roof panels to project site packaged
  108.         to provide protection against transportation damage and
  109.         adverse weather.  Inspect roof panels upon arrival at
  110.         site.  Notify manufacturer of any damaged or stained
  111.         material.
  112.  
  113.     B.  Storage:  Store all material and accessories above ground
  114.         on well skidded platforms.  Elevate one end of each skid
  115.         to allow for moisture run-off.  Store under waterproof
  116.         covering.  Provide proper ventilation to prevent
  117.         condensation build-up between each roof panel.

  119.     C.  Handling:  Exercise extreme care in unloading, storing
  120.         and erecting roof panels to prevent bending, warping,
  121.         twisting, and surface damage.

  123. 1.7 WARRANTY
  124.  
  125.     A.  Material Warranty:  Provide warranty issued by
  126.         manufacturer to cover roof panel base metal against
  127.         rupture, structural failure, or perforation due to
  128.         exposure to normal atmospheric corrosion for a period of
  129.         20 years and 6 months.
  130. NOTE ** If warranty requirements below are retained, verify
  131.         they are available from selected manufacturer.
  132.         Include required term of each warranty.
  133.  
  134.     B.  Weathertightness Warranty:  Provide warranty issued by
  135.         installer to cover roofing against leaks arising out of
  136.         or caused by ordinary wear and tear under normal weather
  137.         and atmospheric conditions for a period of __ years.

  139.     C.  Finish Warranty:  Provide manufacturer's warranty to
  140.         cover roof panel finish against cracking, checking,
  141.         blistering, peeling, flaking, chipping, chalking, and
  142.         fading under normal atmospheric conditions for a period

  202. PART 3  EXECUTION
  203.  
  204. 3.1 EXAMINATION
  205.  
  206.     A.  Verify that substrates and adjacent work are ready to
  207.         receive work of this section.  Do not proceed until
  208.         unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected.
  209.  
  210. 3.2 INSTALLATION
  211.  
  212.     A.  Install panels so they are weathertight, allowing for
  213.         expansion and contraction.
  214.  
  215.     B.  Install panels in accordance with manufacturer's
  216.         instructions and approved shop drawings.
  217.  
  218.     C.  Install panels plumb, level, and straight, with seams and
  219.         ribs/battens parallel, conforming to the design as
  220.         indicated.

  222. 3.3 ADJUSTING AND CLEANING
  223.  
  224.     A.  Dispose of excess materials and remove debris from site.

  226.     B.  Clean work in accordance with recommendations of roofing
  227.         panel manufacturer.

  229.     C.  Touch up minor scratches and abrasions with paint
  230.         provided or approved by panel manufacturer.

  232.     D.  Protect work against damage.  Replace any work that
  233.         becomes damaged prior to final acceptance.
