  78.     A.  Radiant Barrier System (RBS):  Radiant barrier material
  79.         is sight-exposed to building interior, not concealed in
  80.         system by subsequent building finishes.

  82.     B.  Reflective Insulation System (RIS):  Reflective
  83.         insulation material is concealed in system by subsequent
  84.         building finishes; additionally, RIS incorporates air
  85.         spaces between the two reflective surfaces.

  120. 1.7 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING

  124.         recommended by manufacturer.  Store in clean, dry area.

  229. 3.1 EXAMINATION
  230.  
  231.     A.  Ensure that electrical wiring adjacent to reflective
  232.         insulation/radiant barrier material installations is in
  233.         good condition.
  234.  
  235. 3.2 PREPARATION
  236.  
  237.     A.  Turn off electricity in each area of reflective
  238.         insulation/radiant barrier material installation until
  239.         installation in that area is complete.
  240.  
  241. 3.3 INSTALLATION
  242.  
  243.     A.  Install reflective insulation/radiant barrier material in
  244.         accordance with drawing details and manufacturer's
  245.         installation instructions.
  246.  
  247.     B.  Maintain minimum 3 inches (76 mm) distance from heat-
  248.         producing devices such as furnaces, chimneys, blowers,
  249.         and lighting fixtures.
  250.  
  251.     C.  Maintain minimum 3/4 inch (19 mm) air space each side of
  252.         reflective insulation/radiant barrier material.
  253. NOTE ** The following schedule will assist in identifying
  254.         locations where Astro-Foil is to be used on the
  255.         project; it lists the most common applications of
  256.         the product.  Delete inapplicable sub-paragraphs
  257.         and add other locations as required; consult the
  258.         dealer for additional uses.
