  85. 1.5 QUALITY ASSURANCE
  86.  
  87.     A.  Roof decking manufacturer shall certify that fire
  88.         retardant roof decking meets performance design criteria
  89.         according to the following test standards:
  90. NOTE ** Select the following subparagraphs as applicable;
  91.         delete others.
  92.         1.  ASTM E 84.
  93.         2.  FMRC Standard for Class A (25 Flame Spread) for rated
  94.             decking.
  95.         3.  UL R5268.

  97. 1.6 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
  98.  
  99.     A.  Deliver materials in the manufacturer's original sealed,
  100.         labeled packaging.
  101.  
  102.     B.  Store materials in a dry, well-vented area above ground
  103.         on wooden pallets and covered.
  104.  
  105.     C.  Inspect the materials upon delivery to assure that
  106.         specified products have been received.
  107.  
  108.     D.  Report damaged material immediately to the delivering
  109.         carrier and note such damage on the carrier's freight
  110.         bill of lading.
  111.  
  112.     E.  Remove protective packaging immediately prior to
  113.         installation.
  114.  
  115. 1.7 PROJECT CONDITIONS
  116.  
  117.     A.  Verify that other trades are complete before installing
  118.         the roof decking.
  119.  
  120.     B.  Ensure that mounting surfaces are straight and secure and
  121.         that substrates are of proper material per roofing deck
  122.         manufacturer.
  123.  
  124.     C.  Refer to the construction documents, shop drawings, and
  125.         manufacturer's installation instructions.
  126.  
  127.     D.  Coordinate installation with roof membrane manufacturer's
  128.         installation instructions.  Decking installation must be
  129.         followed immediately with finish roofing.
  130.  
  131.     E.  Observe all appropriate OSHA safety guidelines for this
  132.         work.
  133. NOTE ** Delete the following article if no warranties are
  134.         required, or if work is covered under the terms of
  135.         a general project warranty specified elsewhere.

  140. 1.8 WARRANTY
  141.  
  142.     A.  Manufacturer's Standard Warranty:  Materials shall be
  143.         free of defects in material and workmanship for one year
  144.         after shipment.
  145.  
  146.     B.  If, after inspection, the manufacturer agrees that
  147.         materials are defective, the manufacturer shall, at their
  148.         option, repair or replace them.

  182.         surface of decorative white vinyl film which serves
  183.         as both an interior finish and a vapor barrier.
