  99. 1.5 QUALITY ASSURANCE

  103.         this section, and approved by manufacturer.

  105. 1.6 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING

  108.         packaging until installation.

  283. PART 3  EXECUTION
  284.  
  285. 3.1 EXAMINATION
  286.  
  287.     A.  Verify that heights of locations to receive columns are
  288.         in accordance with shop drawings.
  289.  
  290.     B.  Installer's Examination:
  291.         1.  Have installer of this section examine conditions
  292.             under which construction activities of this section
  293.             are to be performed, then submit written notification
  294.             if such conditions are unacceptable.
  295.         2.  Transmit two copies of installer's report to
  296.             Architect within 24 hours of receipt.
  297.         3.  Beginning construction activities of this section
  298.             before unacceptable conditions have been corrected is
  299.             prohibited.
  300.         4.  Beginning construction activities of this section
  301.             indicates installer's acceptance of conditions.
  302.  
  303. 3.2 PREPARATION
  304.  
  305.     A.  Shore and brace adjacent construction in accordance with
  306.         manufacturer's instructions.
  307.  
  308. 3.3 INSTALLATION
  309.  
  310.     A.  Install components in accordance with shop drawings and
  311.         manufacturer's installation instructions.
  312.  
  313.     B.  Remove shoring and bracing immediately after completion
  314.         of column installation.
  315.  
  316.     C.  Site Tolerances:
  317.         1.  Maximum variation from indicated location:  1/4 inch
  318.             (6 mm).
  319.         2.  Maximum variation from plumb:  1/4 inch (6 mm) in 10
  320.             feet (3 m).

  322.         factory finished.

  326. 3.4 CLEANING

  328.     A.  Clean component finishes in accordance with

  333. 3.5 PROTECTION

  335.     A.  Protect components and component finishes from damage by
  336.         subsequent construction activities until Substantial
