  4. The folders on this disk contain the following programs:
  5.  
  6. ARPEG    - This is the PHONIX MIDI ARPEGGIATOR, a desk accessory which allows
  7.            the user to set up arpeggiation sequences on a MIDI synth.
  8.  
  9.        "An arpeggiator cycles through a series of notes, transposing some 
  10.            (if the synthesist so desires) to keep them within a certain 
  11.            range.  It can cycle up, or down, or alternatively up and down 
  12.            through the notes.  By combining different notes, range 
  13.            selections, and cycle directions, surprisingly interesting 
  14.            patterns can be developed." [from ARP.INF]

  16. DBACKUP  - This is 'a backup program for people with removable hard disks'.
  17.            it works with any media, so those with floppy disks may find it
  18.            of some use.  However, the primary user of this program will
  19.            probably have a Syquest disk drive or a tape drive to make this
  20.            program fully useful.

  22. JAMPACK4 - This is another program packer - a program which compresses
  23.            executable files (programs) and provides code to uncompress them
  24.            when yo run the program.  It allows you to select one of four
  25.        methods for packing, LZH, LZW, ICD and V2.  Several source code
  26.            (assembly) fragments are provided.

  28. LHARC     - This is version 2.01g of the German LHARC archive program.  The
  29.            documentation is now in English.  This version of LHARC uses the
  30.            '-lh5-' method of compression, and is compatible with most of the
  31.            older LHARC-type programs.

  33. MULTDEMO - This is a demo of CodeHead Software's MultiDesk Deluxe.  MultiDesk
  34.            allows the user to load desk accessories on the 'fly', so that they
  35.            do not take up memory when not in use.  Read the documentation file
  36.            for installation.  The demo has a time limit of 10 minutes, and
  37.            several features are disabled.

  39. Q_PLAY23 - This is version 2.3 of the Quartet Player program.  It now works
  40.            with all ST/STe computers and all memory configurations.  This is
  41.            an update to the version which appeared in a previous MAST disk.

  43. QRT_ST   - This is a ray tracing program which uses a free format input
  44.            language.  There is an extensive manual, and several samples of
  45.            the language are included.  A RAW output to SPECTRUM 512 converter
  46.            is included.

  48. REDFORM  - This is version 1.65 of the Red Format program.  It is a disk
  49.            formatting program with many nice features, including the ability
  50.            to 'fast-format' (essentially erase the FAT table information),
  51.            the ability to change volume names and a nice SYSTEM information
  52.            option.
  53.  
  54. RRTRACER - A simple ray-tracer written in GFA BASIC.  The program can only
  55.            ray-trace spheres.
  56.  
  57. SHREDRPL - This is version 3.0 of the Shredder-Plus program.  It =totally=
  58.            erases a file from your floppy or hard-disk, replacing what was
  59.            on the disk with random characters.  Useful for eliminating
  60.            'sensitive' information on a disk so that an un-erase program
  61.            cannot get the information back.
