- Mini TX2 File Viewer version 1.42c
- by David Holmes
-
- This is a scaled down version of the TX2 File Viewer. It uses almost
- 50% less memory, but is missing all of the dialog boxes and the more
- exotic functions.
-
- When run, the program will present you with a fileselector. You can
- select any text, TX2, NEO, PI? or PC? (except PC2) file, and it will
- load and be displayed. The program can also be installed as an
- application for any of these file types.
-
- If you have used the full viewer program, the keyboard commands are
- exactly the same. If you do not have the full file viewer, there is a
- help screen accessible by pressing, naturally enough, [HELP]. This
- has a summary of all of the commands.
-
- Here are a couple you might not understand:
-
- "Show leader line" determines whether or not, when paging, to show one
- line from the previous page. In other words, when going forward a
- page, do you want the last line of the previous page to be the first
- line on the current page.
-
- "Use Fast Text" may or may not speed up your system. With a screen
- accelerator, the program will run from 8% to 35% faster. Without one,
- though, it will run up to 50% slower.
-
- Be sure to check out the full-featured version with complete
- instructions.
-
- This program is shareware. If you use it, please send $10 to the
- address below. (If you do NOT belong to GEnie, please send an
- ADDITIONAL $2 or a disk and a SASE so that I can send you the latest
- version, the full TX2 File Viewer, plus a key program to unlock future
- versions of the full TX2 File Viewer.) If you want, you can print out
- the REGISTER.DOC file, which is a registration form.
-
- If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

- Note: Version 1.42c correct some problems with loading pictures from
- previous versions. The program will not bomb if there is not enough
- memory; it will only load as much as it can. The program supports
- pictures over 15*8 lines tall. The program checks to make sure there
- is enough memory before trying to load a compressed picture. You MUST
- use this new version to load current issues of GEnie Lamp Magazine.
