- Here are some tips on using Selectric. At least, that's what I uncovered.
-
- 1) Pay shareware fee of 30DM. Selectric is very nice program, and you sure
- do want to see more of such, don't you?
-
- 2) To force media change, double-click on drive selector pop-up menu.
- 3) To change drive you may use ALT-drive letter, as on the NEWDESK.
- 4) To change current filename extension, press CTRL-number. If you press
- CTRL-SHIFT-number, you have *viewing of several different extensions at
- once* This is unique feature, and may come in very handy, if you may want
- to view, say, all .TXT and all .ASC files. Also, you may SHIFT-click in the
- extension pop-up menu.
- 5) To enter preset and current extensions, double-click _on_ the extension
- selector pop-up menu.
- 6) To manually change current path, double-click on preset paths pop-up
- menu.
- 7) To go to preset path, either click on preset path pop-up menu (one right
- above file list), or press ALT-number, where number 1-0 is your path
- number.
- 8) To enter current path as preset path, press ALT-SHIFT-number.
- 9) Control-up/down arrow moves you one file up/down.
- 10) SHIFT-up/down arrow moves you page up/down.
- 11) Use FULLER box or CTRL-A to select/deselect all files (FULLER box is the
- one in the top right corner of any sizeable window, or Selectric window).
- 12) You may use click-and-drag and SHIFT-clicking for selecting multyple
- files.
- 13) Do not forget about directory pop-up menu (right to the right of drive
- selector menu :-): if you're in some deep-nested folder, you may use it to
- go several levels back in one ste.
- 14) You may use F-keys to select pop-up menus. SHIFT-FKEY works as double
- click.
- 15) CTRL-F1 takes you one folder back.
- 16) HOME/SHIFT-HOME move you to the beginning/end of ther file list.
- 17) Use "numeric" sorting: that way you will havec files sorted as FILE1,
- FILE2,..., FILE10 instead of usual FILE1, FILE10, FILE2,...

- I'm sorry that this text is not very "user friendly", but I didn't wrote
- the program, and I write it in the night, so I hope you'll forgive me.
-
- Also, if somebody finds out how the FIND function works (or at least what
- it searches for) and how to remove path from the presets, please let me
- know. I couldn't do that so far.
-
- Hope you enjoy this program, as well as your Atari computer.
