  3. For DaVinci eMAIL Version 2.51

  5.   In addition to these notes, you should read the
  6.   printed Release Notes included in the box with
  7.   your eMAIL disks and manuals.  The Release Notes
  8.   contain important Technical Support tips, 
  9.   documentation updates and errata, a digest of new 
  10.   feature highlights, and technical supplements.

  12. BWCC.DLL Errors in Other Programs
  13.  
  14.   When you install some recent Windows applications, 
  15.   including several programs recently released by 
  16.   Borland International, they automatically update 
  17.   the BWCC.DLL file in the Windows system directory.  
  18.   They do not, however, update the copy of BWCC.DLL 
  19.   that resides in the EMAIL directory.  As a result, 
  20.   you may see errors if you run those programs and 
  21.   eMAIL simultaneously.  To resolve the problem, 
  22.   update the BWCC.DLL file in the EMAIL directory:
  23.   1.  Exit all applications and Windows.
  24.   2.  In the EMAIL directory, rename BWCC.DLL to
  25.       BWCC.OLD.
  26.   3.  Copy BWCC.DLL from the Windows system 
  27.       directory (for the user who reported the 
  28.       problem) to the EMAIL directory.
  29.   This procedure should resolve the problem for 
  30.   everyone using that installation of eMAIL.

  32. Updating and the WELCOME.TXT File
  33.  
  34.   In order to preserve any customized welcome
  35.   messages that eMAIL 2.0x administrators may have
  36.   written, the eMAIL 2.5 upgrade process
  37.   automatically overwrites its own WELCOME.TXT file
  38.   with the one the previous version used.  If you
  39.   did not customize your own welcome message with
  40.   eMAIL 2.0x, however, you probably would prefer to
  41.   send new users the current version of the
  42.   greeting.

  44.   Replace your old WELCOME.TXT file with the eMAIL
  45.   2.5 version when you run SETUP.EXE but before you
  46.   actually install eMAIL 2.5.  From the SETUP.EXE
  47.   program, choose the Extract File(s) option and
  48.   extract WELCOME.TXT to the EMAIL\ADMIN directory.
  49.   Allow it to overwrite the existing file.  Then
  50.   proceed with the Install/Upgrade eMAIL option to
  51.   upgrade your eMAIL.
