  27.    Version 2.02 is being distributed as a 32-bit windows program. 
  28.  
  29.    To run the 32bit Navigator, you MUST have a 32-bit TCP/IP stack.
  30.    Both Windows 95 and Windows NT provide 32bit TCP/IP stacks 
  31.    that you can setup.

  33.    To obtain a copy of Netscape Navigator Gold, first download the 
  34.    self-extracting executable file into a temporary directory.

  39.    Double-click on the self-extracting file
  40.    to start the installation.

  43. * For Win95 users, if you are using any versions prior to this
  44.   release, you will get multiple uninstall entries in your
  45.   Add/Remove program.  If you prefer not having multiple 
  46.   entries, you should do an uninstall to remove your previous 
  47.   version of Netscape Navigator Gold before you install the new release.

  50. * NAPLAYER, the Netscape audio player, will only work if you have a
  51.   sound card installed and configured properly.  It will not work with
  52.   the PC speaker driver.  Please check your sound card manual to
  53.   configure the sound card.

  56.   file.

  62.         Running Netscape

  64. What do I need to run Netscape Navigator Gold?
  65.  
  66. You must have a direct Internet connection before you can use Netscape.
  67. The ability to send and receive e-mail does not necessarily mean you
  68. can run Netscape. There are three requirements for Netscape Navigator Gold:
  69.     1. A direct Ethernet connection to the net, or a dialup
  70.        SLIP or PPP account from an Internet service provider.
  71.     2. TCP/IP stack
  72.     3. Netscape Navigator Gold software
  73.  
  74. You can get a direct connection to the Internet through a service
  75. provider in your area.  You will need to get a SLIP or a PPP account
  76. from an Internet provider (for a dialup account).

  78. When you have full Internet connectivity, you need to have a TCP/IP
  79. stack, dialer, and WINSOCK.DLL file.

  82. If you get the error message "Cannot find WINSOCK.DLL" when running
  83. Netscape Navigator Gold, this means your computer is looking for the
  84. WINSOCK.DLL file that is part of a winsock package.
