- GRAP UTILILTIES COPY HIDE GO SANDQUIST MOVE
- FILE visutils.sdn
-
- Collection of these utils:
-
- CCOPY is designed to be used INSTEAD of DOS's COPY
- command! CCOPY has several advantages over DOS in that it
- will enable overwrite warnings for files that already exist
- in the target directory. The program has cleaned-up the copy
- process...basically the names don't scroll off the screen.
- There is another nifty feature in CCOPY...the -s command.
- This will allow the suppression of all screen output (except
- for overwrite warnings!).
-
- FREE is a small utility to supplement DOS' CHKDSK and MEM
- commands. FREE provides a fast way to view how much free
- space you have in memory and on you default disk.
-
- Go was written for obvious reasons! I have a 130 meg
- harddrive and trying to keep up with where all my directories
- have gone to is tedious to say the least! So along came GO.
- GO will allow you to locate the occurrence of any directory
- on your drive(s) and, if you specify, drop you into that
- directory.
-
- Hide is a nice, small utility that will allow you to
- hide/un-hide files and directories on the fly! Conceal those
- games directories on the machine at work and still use them
- (for now, you have to remember which ones you hid or use
- NORTON or QD to locate the directories/files that have been
- hidden! The next version will allow you to view hidden
- files/directories!)!
-
- In my opinion, MOVE is a program that should come with
- DOS! Just as its' name suggests, MOVE will move a file or
- several files to another drive and/or directory. It is
- different than anything that DOS has...it will actually pick
- the file(s) up and place them elsewhere deleting the file
- from where it was moved! It will do this while giving you
- overwrite warnings for files that exist in the target
- directory.
