  5. You use LIST to display files  on your monitor, line by line
  6. with  the  aid  of   scrolling,  positioning  and  filtering
  7. commands.
  8.                                                                         
  9. LIST PLUS has  many new commands which go  beyond usual file
  10. viewing and browsing.  We will explain how LIST is used, and
  11. then how the new file management commands are used.
  12.                                                                         
  13. Before going into all of the ways  in which LIST can be used
  14. to  display  files,  let's  look   at  the  three  different
  15. varieties of LIST so that you understand the capabilities of
  16. each.   Then, we'll  go on  and define  certain terms  like:
  17. redirection, piping, and  filtering.  In this way,  you will
  18. better understand how you can use these things with LIST.
