  3. Release v2.65 is both a maintenance release and an upgrade.

  5. Instant Access Menu System (IAMS) allows  you to organize your software
  6. in a  centralized fashion.   From there  you can  order which  software
  7. you'd  like to  run much  like ordering  what you  wish to  eat from  a
  8. restaurants menu.

  10. IAMS was  designed to get  the most out  of computer programs  with the
  11. least  amount  of work,  hassle  and  wasted  time.   IAMS is  both  an
  12. organizer  and a  productivity  tool.  Quick  and  easy  access to  any
  13. program on  your hard disk.   Once set up, you  no longer have  to deal
  14. with DOS and can run programs by using only two key strokes.

  16. Some  of  the  highlights  of  this   menu  system  is  it  will  allow
  17. installation of  upto 400 DOS programs.   Internal DOS commands  can be
  18. run.  Run programs in "AutoBoot" mode.  Initial installation of IAMS is
  19. done  easily via  menu driven  configuration  system.  Complete  drive,
  20. directory  and   file  name  validation  during   configuration.   User
  21. definable colors.   Automatic screen blanking  utility.  Usage  log for
  22. program (time) tracking.   Online Help.  PopUp notepad.   Full function
  23. editor  that will  be  familiar to  WordStar, Sidekick  or  any of  the
  24. Borland programming environment users.  Day  and time automatic program
  25. run capability.

  27. Many enhancements have been made in this latest version.  Some of these
  28. are:
  29.      
  30.      o AutoBoot:  IAMS can  now  be run  in  Normal  or AutoBoot  mode.
  31.        AutoBoot mode  will automatically restart  any program  that did
  32.        not return to the  menu.  For example if you were  in the middle
  33.        of a  program and  you were  interrupted by  a power  outage, it
  34.        would automatically  be restarted  within 10  seconds after  the
  35.        power is restored and your computer back up.

  37.      o Save  Message: If  you've made  a change  in any  area with  the
  38.        configuration system.   did not save  it and attempted  to exit,
  39.        you will now be prompted for confirmation.

  41.      o Banner  Message: Users  may  now enter  their  own 43  character
  42.        message to insert in the Banner.

  44. Hardware requirements: IAMS was designed for use on any IBM PC/XT/AT, PS/2,
  45. or any fully  compatible machine.  It requires  172K worth of RAM  to load,
  46. but less than 4K to run programs.

  48. Although Instant  Access could  be run off  a floppy  drive, you  would not
  49. realize the true  benefits it provides.  Thus, a Hard  Disk is recommended.
  50. DOS 2.0 or greater is required.
