  5. ZideCar is an  add on utility made to  support the Unicorn
  6. Software  program SoundZ.   It is  designed  to work  with
  7. SoundZ data  files to  help the  home recorder.   It helps
  8. you:
  9.  
  10. *Select songs  to fill in on  the end of an  existing tape
  11. (ie You need  a song less than 2:30 by  The Rolling Stones
  12. to finish off a tape.)
  13.  
  14. *Build a tape from scratch, based  on the music already in
  15. SoundZ, and  then uses  the data  to create  a new  SoundZ
  16. entry, so you don't have to type everything in twice.
  17.  
  18. *Totals  the times  of existing  entries and  then adds  a
  19. Continuation line with the total time.
  20.  
  21. ZideCar is registered when you register SoundZ, and is not
  22. available separately.

  24. Why?
  25.  
  26. SoundZ had been in release all of 2 weeks when the letters
  27. and electronic  mail started  to come  in.  There  was one
  28. thing the program  did not do that  home recorders wanted:
  29. Help with tape building and filling.
  30.  
  31. Rather than force all users of the program carry the extra
  32. weight of  these features  if they did  not want  them; we
  33. created an add on program to handle these functions.

  38. Hardware  Requirements:   256K  RAM,   IBM  graphics/laser
  39. printers, mono or colour monitor, can operate on HD drives
  40. hard disk drive.

  42. Other  Requirements: SoundZ  data  files  must be  on  the
  43. system.  MS-DOS 2.11 or higher.
