With PICTURETHIS, resolution-independent drawing files can quickly and easily be prepared for output on PostScript compatible laser printers and imagesetters. PICTURETHIS drawings can be produced either by freehand methods or by tracing "template" screens captured with a companion program, CAPTURETHIS. In addition, drawings produced with PICTURETHIS are "Encapsulated" -- therefore they can be imported and manipulated by various desktop publishing programs, or they can be scaled independently to generate high quality prints for insertion into documents via traditional paste-up techniques. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS : an IBM PC, XT, AT, or compatible running MS-DOS or PC-DOS 2.0 or above, with at least 384 KB RAM, at least one 5.25" DSDD floppy disk drive, and CGA video board compatibility (including Hercules compatible monochrome graphics boards with hardware or software CGA emulation, EGA, and VGA boards). PICTURETHIS drawings can be printed at lower resolution on some dot matrix printers, using a graphics screen dump program.
