This is my first try at producing a CDROM of my CP/M (mostly) disk collection. This is not a collection of public domain stuff as the first commercial CP/M CDROM did that pretty completely.
This is my personal collection of 5" and 8" disks including the bunch of Morrow factory disks that I got from Ron Jacobs. The collection is not yet complete as there are several boxes of NorthStar hard sector disks to be moved over to Morrow soft sector format so that I can read them on to the hard drive. The Morrow Micronix (Z80) and Tricep (68000) versions of UNIX are in hard sector format as well and it will take some doing to get these ready to go. I know that these are not CP/M but I want to preserve them as well.
The Unofficial Caldera CP/M web site has the source as well as object code for most of Digital Researches products available for download. They do not yet allow distribution by other means so this material is also not on the CDROM. You may find material on both this CDROM and the web site because the material came from here in the first place.
There were cases of loose disks as my collection is the compilation of about five others with mine. Don't expect any organization there. The Morrow collection also had a bunch of loose disks. Sorry about that. I deliberately left in duplicate copies for redundancy in case of bad copies. I do not think that many people with Pentiums equipe them with 8" and 360K 5" drives.
Some of the 5" boot disks have a file called 'image'. This is an image of the disk made with 'COPYQM' by SYDEX. The program can copy the image onto a 5" disk in the original format or can translate it to a standard IBM style 5" or 3.5" format. Public Domain versions are available if you are to cheap to pay SYDEX for the latest version. It is worth the minimal cost believe me.
