  11. rDNote:    Before using PIMdeLux, make sure you have set it up right. You can do this by starting the System Control Panel and selecting the PIMdeLux icon. Make sure the Agenda tab contains your Agenda file.
  12. You can start PIMdeLux in 2 ways :
  13. 1.    As a standalone application by clicking its icon in the Extras bar. You can display the contact data of a contact by selecting the Show contact
  14.  item from the Contacts menu or by using the Shift+Ctrl+C shortcut.
  15. 2.    As an Agenda extension. PIMdeLux activates automatically if the entry symbol of a newly created entry matches the entry symbol specified in the control panel. Create a new Agenda entry as usual and upon pressing Enter in Agenda
  16. s Creating new day entry dialog, PIMdeLux will pop up with detailed information for that entry.
  17. Tip:    PIMdeLux can also be activated by entering the activation character as the only entry text when creating a new entry.
  18. Tip:    In order to always activate PIMdeLux when creating a new entry, set the default entry symbol for your Agenda entries by selecting the Day entry

  20.  items from the Tools | Entry preferences menu in the Agenda application.
  21. CThe PIMdeLux settings can be changed by clicking the PIMdeLux icon in the System Control Panel.
  22. This must be run at least once, before use of PIMdeLux.
  23. The dialog tabs are:
  24. Agenda : specify the agenda file which you use in the Agenda application.
  25. Activate : define the entry symbols here upon which PIMdeLux should activate if the agenda entry contains it.
  26. Prefix : when PIMdeLux is activated upon creation of a new entry, the user has to select the appointment location. Depending on which location is chosen, PIMdeLux prefixes a string to the entry description so that from the standard entry view of the entry, the location can be derived. The prefixes can be defined here.
  27. Text : the user may select which contact fields are added to the entry text upon creation of a new entry.
  28. When OK is selected, PIMdeLux will activate when a new entry is created with the right entry symbols or entry text.

  30. Up to 3 clickable lists (depending on the data for the contact) are shown:
  31. 1.    Contacts : contains all the contacts present at the currently selected appointment. These are clickable and update the contact data on the right accordingly.
  32. 2.    Appointments : contains all the appointments of the current main contact.
  33. 3.    Todo
  34. s : contains all the todo
  35. s of the current main contact.
  36. Tip:    When an appointment or a todo is clicked, the contact data is updated.
  37. Contact data / Word object view on right
  38. The right view shows :
  39. 1.    At the top, the entry description given by the user.
  40. 2.    Below, either detailed contact data, or an embedded view of the contents of an attached Word document. Toggle view switches between both views.
  41. .AIf a Word object is attached to an Agenda entry, then it will automatically display when the Agenda entry is activated. Toggling between the standard Contact data view and the memo/Word object view can be done by using the Toolbar button, the Toggle view item in the View menu or the Ctrl+Q shortcut.
