  1. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

  3. SaveMail is a program that automates the process of copying your
  4. messages from Psion Epoc ER5 built-in Email app to any number of
  5. "preformatted" Epoc Data files (e.g. one for Work and another for
  6. Home), or to a "plain" Epoc Word document, where they can be
  7. easily edited, sorted, printed, searched or simply stored.

  9. Before proceeding, keep in mind the following:
  10.  
  11. * the option "Retain original text when replying" must be selected
  12.   in order to get the right time and date of a message; to enable
  13.   it, launch your Email program, select any received message and
  14.   open it, then select menu - tools - viewer preferences... and
  15.   tick that option;
  16. * especially when you choose to store multiple messages, SaveMail
  17.   may take some time to accomplish its task: please note that while
  18.   the program is running, your device is NOT available for other
  19.   operations and you also should NOT switch to other tasks or
  20.   applications;
  21. * for the same reason, disable the "automatic switch off" feature or
  22.   use a reasonable value of time to let the program finish its task
  23.   before the machine is turned off (if this should happen, simply
  24.   turn it on again and SaveMail should go on working...);
  25. * be also advised NOT to touch the keyboard while SaveMail is
  26.   running, because this could interfere with the scheduled sequence
  27.   of keystrokes, thus leading to some misbehavior of the program
  28.   itself (including the deletion of all your messages in the worst
  29.   case, only if the "auto-delete" option is selected);
  30. * use the "auto-delete" option with care, as there is no way of
  31.   restoring any deleted message from Psion Email. I strongly
  32.   recommend a good BACKUP before starting to play with SaveMail...
  33. * I decline responsibility for any loss of data that may result
  34.   from the use of this program.
