!ACreate a new file from the file menu and enter the descriptions for the terms and their meanings. You can now enter records by selecting New Entry from the edit menu. Once you've finished the test will start automatically and you can change the settings by using the Test Setup menu item.
ABy selecting Scores from the View menu Tester will display a summary of the number of records with each mark value and their percentage of the total.
If the automark option has been selected Tester will also display a summary of the mark changes during the current session.
AThe options under the test setup menu item are as follows:
Test Type - is either Test or Scan. The test option waits before revealing the completed record while the scan option does not.
Random Order - specifies how the records are selected.
Order - allows you to change which label is displayed first.
All Records - allows you to display only certain records. If this option is left unchecked a further dialog is presented displaying where you may select the records to be used.
fATester allows you to import files from other Tester files, Psion Data files or comma-delimited text files. It also allows you to export files to either Tester of comma delimited files.
Data and text files should be in the format:
label1, label2, mark, note
The first record of the file must contain the descriptions of the labels and the maximum mark value.
PARegistering Tester allows you to use more than 50 records in the database.

Quick start
Marking records
Tester allows you to mark records depending on how well you know them. When a record is displayed use the up and down arrows to increase or decrease the mark value.
The default maximum mark is 3 but this can be configured up to 10.
Automark Records
The automark option displays a dialog after the record has been revealed. Selecting Correct or Wrong will automatically change the mark value.
Choose Skip to leave the mark value as it is.
