BCalorie Watch is designed to keep a watch over your health. It helps you to determine your ideal weight, your ideal daily Calorie Intake and your Body Mass Index depending on your age, height, weight and life style.
It incorporates features to calculate your daily calorie intake by taking into account the food items taken throughout the day.
Another feature is calculating the calories used up by doing various exercises.It gives you a daily update on your weight change, so you can keep a daily watch over your weight.
ABody Mass Index (BMI) is a ratio between weight and height .It is a better predictor of disease risk than weight alone.
You can check your health risk after finding out your BMI:

HC1.If you are a first time user, press the
New Record
button to enter your personal profile. take care that no record with the same name already exists.
Old users should select their name from the list of names in the combobox. They can make changes to their personal profile if needed.
After entering your Personal Profile, press the
Your Ideals
button to show you your Ideal Weight, Ideal Calorie Intake for the day and your Body Mass Index (BMI).
The weight suggested is an approximation in the healthy weight range. Consult your health care practitioner for a more accurate assessment. The Ideal Calorie Intake is suggested for the ideal weight. It may vary according to the user
s personal factors and health conditions.
2.Press the
Calculate Your Calorie Intake
button to find out calorie intake for the day.
CYou can calculate your calorie intake for the day depending on the foods taken during the day. The food items are classified as shown in the pyramid.
How to proceed?
1.Select the food group under which your food item falls in, by tapping on the area in the Pyramid.
2.The food group name appears below and you can enter the quantity (in cups/tblsp) of the food item consumed in the edit box.
3.Repeat for all the foods eaten.
4.The right-side screen displays the corresponding total intake of calories, weight gain/loss and the required ideal calorie intake. All previous servings would be added up to give the total calorie intake and weight loss/gain.
5.When finished with all the items, tap on the
Calculate Calories Burnt
button to find out the calories burnt during the day.
BThe number of calories you burn performing task X varies from person to person, depending on your weight, age, metabolism etc.
How to calculate calories burnt?
1.The screen shows icons showing exercises. Tapping on any icon would display the exercise name in the text towards right.
2.You can now enter the time (in mins) spent on that exercise.
3.Repeat for the exercises you have undertaken during the day. It is not necessary to enter time for all shown exercises. Leave time field blank for the exercises not performed you. The total calories burnt by all the exercises selected by you are shown simultaneously.
4.Tap the
Calorie Statistics
button to see your overall weight/calorie statistics for the day.
WBAfter calculating calories burnt, press the
Calorie Statistics
button to find out the overall Calorie/Weight statistics.
The Total Calorie Count for the day is displayed depending on the foods taken and exercises done. This indicates the Calorie Gain (Loss if negative). After taking into account your food intake, the exercises done and the calories you need for normal body functioning, the weight change for the day is calculated.
Negative weight change indicates weight loss.
You can now decide whether to gain weight, lose weight by diet or by exercising or to maintain your current weight.
}BLosing Weight through Diet-
1.Select the particular food group by tapping on the particular food area.
2.Enter the servings you intend to skip.
3.The calories missed by you and hence the weight loss would be shown simultaneously.
4.Repeat the procedure for any other food group that you intend to skip.
Losing Weight through Exercise-
1.Select the particular exercise by tapping on the particular exercise icon.
2.Enter the time (in mins) you intend to perform the exercise.
3.The calories burnt by you and hence the weight loss would be shown simultaneously.
4.Repeat the procedure for any other exercise that you intend to perform.
BAGaining Weight -
1.Select the food group to which the food of your liking belongs by tapping on the particular food area.
2.Enter the servings you intend to take.
3.The calories consumed by you and hence the weight gain would be shown simultaneously.
4.Repeat the procedure for any other food that you intend to consume.
